2008-09 Indoor: Named All-America in the 800 meters after capturing Metro State’s first-ever national championship at the NCAA Championships … finished the championship race in 1:51.99 … set the school record in an automatic qualifying time of 1:50.53 (1:51.13 converted) at the Husky Open on Feb. 14 … earned third team All-RMAC honors in the mile, finishing sixth at the RMAC Championships in 4:18.18 … also a member of the 4x400m relay team at the RMAC Championships, finishing fourth in 3:25.49 … competed with the distance medley relay team during the season as well. 
2008 Cross Country: Competed in three events during the season … ran a season-best 8K at the CU Shootout on Oct. 4 in 26:48 … finished 32nd at the RMAC Championships in 27:00.3. 
2008 Outdoor: Earned NCAA All-America honors in the 800 meters after running a time of 1:49.39 and finishing second in a photo finish at the NCAA Championship … a first team All-RMAC performer after finishing second in the 800 meters at the conference meet … also ran a leg of the 4x400-meter relay team that finished seventh … won the 800 meters at the Tom Benich Classic (1:51.02). 
2008 Indoor: Earned NCAA All-America honors in the 800 meters after finishing third in a time of 1:51.50 at the national championship … finished third (4:15.02) in the mile to earn all-RMAC honors and was also part of the fourth-place distance medley relay team at the RMAC Championship … won the 800 meters at the CU Potts Invitational … also won the 800 meters at the Mines Twilight Open (1:52.50). 
2007 Cross Country: Was Metro State’s first-ever representative at the NCAA Cross Country Championship, finishing 68th overall in a time of 32:19.8 as a sophomore … finished 28th overall in a time of 32:18 at the NCAA North Central regional … ran a time of 27:14.68 to finish 18th overall at the RMAC Championship … finished second for the Roadrunners and 21st overall at the Colorado State Classic 4 mile. 
2007 Outdoor: Finished third and ran a NCAA provisional-qualifying time of 3:58.06 in the 1500 meters at the Jack Christiansen Invitational … finished eighth in the 1500 meters at the RMAC Championship … ran to a fifth-place finish in the 800 meters at the Tom Benich Classic … ran 4:22.10 to finish third in the mile at the Colorado College Invitational. 
2007 Indoor: Ran on the distance medley relay team that finished fourth at the RMAC Championship in a time of 10:25.57 … finished second in the mile at the Colorado School of Mines Twilight … also on the distance medley relay team that won the Air Force Invitational in a time of 10:58.89. 
2006 Cross Country: Named to the RMAC All-Academic team as a 2006 freshman … finished 33rd overall at the RMAC Championship, running a time of 26:56 for 8K … finished third for the Roadrunners and 51st overall at the University of Colorado Shootout in a time of 28:00 … ran 27:57.90 over 8K to finish 57th at the Woody Greeno Invitational … placed 29th at the Wyoming Invitational, running the 4.25 miles in 23:26. 
2005: Redshirted his 2005 freshman season at Metro State. 
High School: Ran cross country and track and field at Ranum High School, from which he graduated from in 2004 … an all-state selection in cross country during his 2003 junior and 2004 senior seasons … placed fifth in 4-A as a senior … the state 4-A champion in the 800 meters as a senior … an All-Skyline League pick … coached in cross country by John Esquibel … ran a personal-record time of 1:52 in the 800 meters. 
Personal: Born June 4, 1986, to Anthony and Tina Luna … has a brother, Gabriel, who was a member of the Metro State cross country and track teams (2006-08), and a sister, Brandi … enjoys playing basketball, hiking and fishing … majoring in criminal justice ... has a son, Anthony Robert.
