MSU Denver Athletics

2025: Appeared in 20 games and started in 19 of them. He registered 1,073 minutes, reaching a season-high 70 against CSU Pueblo on the road. He scored one goal, added two assists and recorded four points in 2025. He scored his first Roadrunners goal against the Colorado School of Mines in a 2-2 draw with the Orediggers. He assisted on goals against South Dakota Mines and against UC-Colorado Springs in the RMAC Tournament championship game. He recorded 14 shots with five of them being on goal. 

Before MSU Denver: Played two seasons (2022-23) at Saint Francis (PA) … Started all 15 games in 2023, scoring first career goal at Le Moyne (Oct. 15) … registered first collegiate assist in final game of the season against Sacred Heart (Nov. 9) … helped team to a regular season NEC Championship in 2023.
 
High School: Three-time varsity letterwinner and captain at Grandview High School … two-time All-State First Team honoree … named an All-American nominee … received an All-ECNL Second Team selection … one of four players selected across all conferences selected to the Far West All-Region Team … named Student Body Vice President and senior editor for yearbook in high school … played club ball for Real Colorado SC.
 
Personal: Charles Michael Lucero … son of Marcos and Meg Lucero … has an older sister, Sofia, who attends the University of Colorado Boulder, and a younger brother, Jacob … chose St. John’s for its competitive atmosphere within the program and to play in the BIG EAST … avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals … pursuing a degree in communications.
