Andrew Mejia enters his third season as an assistant coach for the Roadrunners. In 2015 he helped the Roadrunners to a 13-4-2 overall record and 8-2 record in the RMAC. In 2014, Mejia helped the Roadrunners to a 10-8-0 finish
Mejia was a four-year starter on defense for Metro State, earning All-America honors as a sophomore and senior and all-region honors all four seasons. As a senior, he was named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference defensive player of the year.
A native of Littleton, Colo., Mejia also serves as a youth coach with Wheat Ridge Avalanche Soccer Association. He will graduate in December 2014 from MSU Denver with a bachelor's degree in both mechanical engineering and applied mathematics.
