Brandyn Bumpas

Brandyn Bumpas is in his fourth season at MSU Denver's goalkeeper coach in 2019.

Bumpas is a National Soccer Coaches Association of America Level II goalkeeping coach. He has over seven years of experience in soccer and athletic performance training at both the high school and college level. 

In 2016, Bumpas began serving as the assistant director of goalkeeping for Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer. He is also presently the director of goalkeeping for the Core Soccer Academy. Bumpas also served as the director of goalkeeping for Colorado West Select and Colorado Edge Soccer Clubs.

Bumpas was a high school All-American and all-state goalkeeper at Denver's Mullen High School, and he also spent the 2005 season in Florida with the United States soccer residency program. He was a member of the U18 U.S. national team pool, and he played internationally for the U20 U.S. national team. He was the starting kicker for two seasons on the Mullen football team. He signed with the North Carolina State soccer program out of high school.
 
After taking several years off and working as a coach at Core Soccer Academy, Bumpas became a student goalkeeper coach at Colorado Mesa in 2012. He then resumed his collegiate playing career in 2013. As a senior in 2014 for the Mavericks' NCAA Division II semifinalists he was 7-1 with five shutouts, an 0.63 goals-against average and an .844 save percentage.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management, and was an assistant coach for Colorado Mesa in 2015.
