Clint Corzatt

  • Title
    Assistant Coach

Clint Corzatt is in his third stint with the Metro State men's soccer program.  Previously, he worked with the Roadrunners in 2003-04 and 2006-07, helping the team to the RMAC tournament championship in 2003 and a second-place finish in the regular season and tournament in 2006, while advancing to the NCAA tournament. He completed his fourth straight season as an assistant in 2013.

Corzatt helped the Roadrunners to their 11th consecutive season with 10+ wins in 2013, the longest active streak in the RMAC. Despite returning just five starters, MSU Denver finished 10-6-3. Corzatt's goalkeepers were second in the RMAC in goals against average, despite starting a freshman and a junior that joined the team in September.

In 2012 he assisted with a young squad that graduated All-America forward Scott Grode and turned the Roadrunners into winners again. They finished 12-7-1 overall and 8-5-1 in the RMAC, going 5-1-1 over their final seven games. MSU Denver knocked off powerhouse Fort Lewis at the RMAC tournament.

In 2011 he helped the Roadrunners to their fourth NCAA tournament appearance in six seasons and a 14-7-1 overall record. Included was a win at No. 1 Fort Lewis, the only blemish on the Skyhawks's record as they won their second national championship in three seasons.

On the way to the postseason, Metro State earned a 1-0 victory in a must-win game against Regis in the semifinals of the RMAC tournament, propelling the Roadrunners ahead of the Rangers to be selected as one of the two teams from the Central Region in the NCAA tournament.

Senior Scott Grode was named RMAC and Central Region player of the year and was one of three players to earn All-America honors. Corzatt's goalkeepers posted a 1.08 goals against average, ranking 44th nationally.

Corzatt has tremendous experience as a coach at many different levels in addition to his time at Metro State.  He served as the Fort Collins Soccer Club coach from 1997-2003.  He has been on the Colorado Rush club's staff as a goalkeeper coach since 2010 as well.  At the collegiate level, he was an assistant at Drury University from 2004-06 and the University of Central Arkansas in 2007-08.  He was also the interim head coach at Drury in the spring of 2005.

As a student-athlete, Corzatt played soccer at the University of Evansville and earned his bachelor's degree from Colorado State University in 2004 in sociology.  A native of Clayton, Ohio, he graduated from Northmont High School.
