Michael Gabb enters his third season as an assistant coach for the Roadrunners. In 2015 he helped the Roadrunners to a 13-4-2 overall record and 8-2 record in the RMAC. He currently serves as the director of goalkeeping at the Colorado Rush Soccer Club and has held that position since 2012. He joined the Rush after spending three years as a goakeeping and team coach with REAL Colorado.
Gabb helped the 2014 Roadrunners finish 10-8-0 overall, despite none of the 11 starters being a senior. MSU Denver was ranked as high as No. 8 in NCAA Division II, but dropped out after six losses by one goal. He helped sophomore James Tanner rank fourth in goals-against average in the RMAC and fourth in saves per game.
Gabb also founded his own goalkeeping academy Goal Keepers Union in 2013 and provides year-round training sessions with two camps per year.
He earned his master's degree from Winthrop University in 2007 in business and leadership, while serving as a graduate assistant coach for two years. He earned his bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in business from Creighton University in 2002.
Throughout his coaching career, Gabb has trained three national team goalkeepers, 12 state championship goalkeepers and 25 NCAA Division I goalkeepers.
