Moved into third in program history with his 56th career singles win on April 9, defeating Tyler Landen of Colorado Mesa 6-7 (9), 7-6 (4), 6-1, to pass Peter Lantz (1999-2000) on the Roadrunners' all-time list. ... Defeated Antonio Barona of Biola (Calif.) 6-4, 7-5 on March 23 to pass Andre Nilsson (2003-06) and move into fourth on MSU Denver's all-time singles wins list. ... Compiled a 5-5 record in doubles, including 4-0 when paired with Billy McDermott. ... Defeated regional No. 19 foe Alberto Diaz of Midwestern State (Texas) 7-5, 6-4 on March 5. ... Won three matches at the ITA South Central Regional tournament before falling to top-seeded Angel Palacios of Midwestern State (Texas) 6-0, 6-2 in the quarterfinals on Oct. 5. ... Martinez-Morilla, seeded ninth, defeated No. 8 seed Gabriel Zuniga of St. Edward's (Texas) 4-6, 6-1, 6-0 to reach the round of eight earlier in the day. ... Reached the semifinals of the MSU Denver Invitational on Sept. 8, losing to teammate Daniel Llorente 2-6, 7-5 (2), 10-5.
2018-19: Went 13-9 in singles, including 7-3 at No. 3...Entered the ITA national rankings in Division II for the first time in his career at No. 71 on April 17...Reached the quarterfinals of the ITA South Central Regional in September, with wins over Raul Stevens of Texas-Permian Basin, Teodor Antelj of Newman (Kan.) and Pierre Marion of Cameron (Okla.)...Had a 10-10 record in doubles, including 6-7 at No. 2 and 1-1 at No. 1. Primary doubles partner was David Kijak, and the duo combined to go 8-9.
2017-18: All-RMAC first team in singles...Went 15-12 in singles, including 6-7 at No. 3 and 5-3 at No. 4...Reached the singles quarterfinals at the ITA South Regionals...Also reached the quarterfinals in doubles at the ITA South Central Regionals, playing with Daniel Llorente...Compiled a 13-12 mark in doubles play, including 5-1 at No. 3 and 6-9 at No. 2...Undefeated at 6-0 in both singles and doubles in RMAC play.
2016-17: Earned 2017 RMAC Freshman of the Year and All-RMAC first team in singles after going 16-10 overall, including 12-9 at No. 3, in singles competition...Won five straight singles matches to end the season...Went 15-12 in doubles, including 12-10 at No. 3...Had a 5-1 record in singles and a 4-1 mark in doubles in RMAC play...Won MSU Denver debut on Sept. 9 with a 6-2, 6-3 singles win over Texas-Permian Basin's Gabriel Capuano. Also picked up a doubles victory that day.
