Sam Schall begins her third season as an assistant coach with the Roadrunners in 2015-16. In addition to her coaching duties, she also oversees concessions at all MSU Denver home athletics events as well as other various administrative duties.

In 2014-15, she helped the Roadrunners men reach the RMAC championship match and post a 14-10 record. The women's team finished third in the RMAC. The men's team was ranked as high as 46th in NCAA Division II and sophomore Josh Graetz finished the year ranked No. 44 in singles nationally after going 21-7 as the No. 1 player and earning first team all-RMAC. The men's squad earned wins over two nationally-ranked teams during the season. Schall also helped coach the men's and women's RMAC freshmen of the year in Calum Hayes and Courtney Wright.

In her first year, Schall helped guide the men's team to a 12-11 record, including 3-2 in the RMAC. The women's team that featured five freshmen and battled several injuries, had a 4-20 record, including 0-5 in the RMAC. Schall helped coach the RMAC men's and women's freshmen of the year as Josh Graetz took home the honors on the men's side and Wanda Holopainen did so for the women. Graetz finished the season ranked No. 49 in NCAA Division II and broke the school record for wins in a season and consecutive wins at No. 1 singles, going 24-7. Holopainen's sister Naomi, who missed most of the spring with an injury, won the Fall ITA South Central Region singles championship, advancing to the small college championships.

The teams also had a strong year in the classroom. The women's team posted a 3.33 GPA during the spring semester and the men's team had a 3.10 GPA.

Schall finished her four-year career as a student-athletes with the Roadrunners in 2013. She earned third team all-RMAC honors four times during her career between singles and doubles and was a three-time first team academic all-RMAC honoree. As a senior, she was named Capital One first team Academic All-District. Schall posted a career singles record of 33-33, including 11-9 as a senior. She also went 43-50 in doubles matches.

A native of Glendale, Ariz., Schall graduated from MSU Denver with a bachelor's degree in sport industry operations and a minor in management in 2013.
