Breanna Milnes

Breanna Milnes begins her fourth season as the pitching coach for the Roadrunners in 2017-18.

Milnes helped the 2016-17 team finish 34-21 overall and 26-12 in the RMAC. Despite having a winning regular season, the Roadrunners were eliminated from the RMAC tournament after two games.

In 2015-16, Milnes assisted the Roadrunners finish the season 35-19 overall and second in the RMAC with a 25-9 record. The team received numerous honors the included RMAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year Colissa Bakovich (Loveland, Colo./Loveland H.S.) and RMAC Tournament MVP Cassidy Smith (Loveland, Colo./Loveland H.S.).
In 2014-15, she helped the team to a 44-16 mark, including 28-6 in the RMAC to win the regular season conference championship. The team climbed into the top 25 after a strong showing in non-conference play that included a win over No. 11 Angelo State and the Roadrunners steadily moved up to No. 18 in NCAA Division II by the end of the regular season. The success didn't stop there as they upset No. 7 St. Mary's (Texas) on the road to reach the finals of the South Central Region No. 2 Tournament.

In that same season Milnes helped her pitchers lead the RMAC in earned run average. She coached RMAC pitcher and freshman of the year Kenzie Mattey.

Prior to joining the Roadrunners, she spent two seasons at Northern State University as a graduate assistant, where she had a pitcher break the school's single-game strikeout record with 16.

Prior to her team at NSU, Milnes was an assistant coach three years at Kirkwood Community College, where she was a member of the NFCA Midwest Region coaching staff of the year in 2011 and helped the team to three Iowa Community College Athletic Conference championships. She coached four All-America pitchers at Kirkwood and helped the team finish seventh at the NJCAA national tournament.

Milnes earned her master's degree in sport performance and leadership in 2014 from Northern State and her bachelor's degree from NSU in 2009 in sport marketing and administration. She played two seasons with the Wolves, earning Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference player of the week and leading the team in strikeouts (106) and earned run average (3.04) as a senior. She also played two seasons at Kirkwood C.C. and was named NFCA second team All-America in 2007.
