Biography

2009: Joined Tara Mickelson to become the first All-Americans in school history ... named Daktronics second team All-America, Daktronics first team All-Central Region, NFCA second team all-region and first team All-RMAC ... batted .407 with 79 hits in 194 at bats ... led the team in at bats and tied for the team lead in hits, doubles and triples ... added 16 doubles, 13 home runs and three triples, along with 62 runs scored and 53 RBI ... had a .722 slugging percentage and a .450 on-base percentage ... struck out just 19 times all season and walked 13 times ... stole eight bases in nine attempts ... tied the NCAA record for longest hitting streak at 39 games from Feb. 8 to April 20 ... committed just one error all season in center field and had three outfield assists to lead the team ... went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in her first game at Metro State on Feb. 7 against Colorado State-Pueblo ... batted 12-for-17 with 13 RBI, 10 extra base hits and six runs scored in four games on Feb. 20-21 ... had three hits three RBI, two doubles and a triple on Feb. 20 against Minnesota State, Mankato ... set the school record with three home runs and drove in five on Feb. 21 against Concordia-St. Paul ... went 4-for-5 with four RBI, two doubles and a triple in the second game on Feb. 21 against St. Cloud State ... was named to the RMAC/NSIC Crossover All-Tournament team ... homered again on March 15 against Western New Mexico in the second game after hitting a walkoff single in the bottom of the ninth to win game one ... homered in consecutive games on March 21-22 at Fort Lewis ... also hit home runs against Colorado Mines (twice), UC-Colorado Springs, Nebraska-Kearney (twice) and CSU-Pueblo ... had 4-for-4 afternoon against CSU-Pueblo with a home run on May 1 at the RMAC Tournament ... was named to the RMAC All-Tournament team after hitting .462 with two home runs ... was second on the team with 23 multi-hit games and had 14 multi-RBI games.

Before Metro State: Played two years at Hawaii Pacific ... earned first team All-Pac West honors as a freshman ... selected to the NFCA Second-Team All-West region team in 2005.

High School: 2004 graduate of Pearl City High School ... four-year letterwinner ... selected a three-time first-team all conference selection.

Personal: Born June 17, 1986, to Mike and Debra Nishikida ... has one younger sister, Corrie, who also played for the Roadrunners in 2009 ... majoring in psychology at Metro State.
