Erik Shoeneman is entering his first season with the current Roadrunners staff, and his second overall. He previously spent the 2005-06 season as an assistant under Head Coach Dave Murphy.
In addition to coaching at Metro State, Shoeneman has also been a head coach at Littleton High School and Poudre High School in Fort Collins, Colo. Additionally, Shoeneman has been an assistant high school coach and club coach for 19 years, dating back to 1991. Most recently, he spent the 2009-10 season as a consultant with the University of Denver women’s basketball program.
Shoeneman's responsibilities with the Roadrunners will be to assist recruiting, develop post players, scouting, alumni relations, Lil’ Roadrunners Club Coordinator, and marketing/public relations.
Shoeneman is currently finishing his degree in behavioral science from Metro State and plans to graduate in Spring, 2011.
A native of Colorado, Erik lives in Denver with His wife, Cassi, and their two dogs, Ralph and Riley.
