J.J. Imbeaux enters his first season at Metro State as a volunteer assistant coach in 2009-10. He comes to the Roadrunners after working as a tour consultant with EF Educational Tours in Denver, Colo. He was responsible for the sales and logistics of international educational group tours for the states of Hawaii, Southern California, Nevada, and Arizona, while also teaching and training fellow employees to help assist teachers in running successfful European tours for their students.

Prior to working with EF Tours, J.J. worked as a reservations supervisor/manager at Winter Park Resort where he increased sales 19% from the previous year. He also spent time working as a sales representative with AFLAC and earned the Fireball award for national recognition of excellence in a fiscal quarter and was also a Top 20 Sales Associate in the state of Missouri. In addition to his work in sales, J.J. also spent time coaching girls' soccer at the youth select level for the Tony Glavin Soccer Club at the U13-U18 levels.

His responsibilities while at Metro State will include: coordinating film exchange, community service, and camp as well as helping with pre-season and post-season workouts, practice, student-athlete recruitment, and player academic progress.

Imbeaux played basketball and soccer in high school at Fort Zumwalt North in St. Louis, Mo. He continued his soccer playing career at St. Louis University, where he received his bachelor's degree in 2003 in international business/marketing. While at St. Louis, his team won Conference USA titles in all 4 years that he was there. He also garnered first team all conference and all region honors his sophomore and junior years.

Imbeaux then went on to play professional soccer on three continents, including Malmo, Sweden, where his team finished second in the league; Australia, where he captained the Brisbane Strikers and won the country's championship at the highest level; and South Korea, where he played for the Pusan I'con's and was the league's fourth-leading scorer while winning a championship there as well. He finished his playing career in Moscow, Russia, where he played in several European Cup matches and was a part of two championship squads there.
