Julian Assibey begins his second season as an assistant coach at Metro State in 2008-09.

In addition to his duties at Metro State, Assibey also serves as an individual basketball trainer at the Colorado Athletic Club, where he teaches ball handling, shooting techniques and defensive positioning.

Assibey has also worked several basketball camps, and was a player for the Harlem Ambassadors in Fort Collins, Colo.

A four-year basketball letterwinner at William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa, Assibey set the career steals record. While at William Penn, he also competed in the long and triple jump for the track and field team. Assibey graduated from William Penn in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in sports administration.
