Lindsey Terry enters her second season as part of Metro State's coaching staff in 2013. She joined MSU Denver in 2012 after spending 2011 as an assistant at RMAC-rival Colorado Christian University.
Terry helped a very young squad in 2012 and led MSU Denver to an 18-11 record, including 11-6 in the RMAC. She helped the team to the NCAA tournament behind All-America sophomore Lauren Quijano, who was one of just three returning starters and one of just six returning letterwinners out of 14 players on the 2011 team. The Roadrunners were excellent in the classroom as four players earned academic all-RMAC (only returning players are eligible for the award).
Terry brought five total years of collegiate coaching experience to the Roadrunners when she joined the staff. At CCU in 2011, she helped the Cougars to their best season since 1998, going 20-19 overall and 10-8 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. She oversaw recruiting, travel and scouting, and assisted in practices. Prior to her time at CCU, Terry spent two seasons as the top assistant at Moorpark College in California, leading the team to back-to-back conference championships. While at MC, she also served as the head junior varsity coach at Buena High School.
Terry served as a student assistant coach for two seasons after playing five years of volleyball at NCAA Division I Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where she led the team to an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2002 and was named all-conference. She earned her bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Cal Poly. She also earned her master's degree in educational leadership and administration in 2007 and is currently working on a second master's degree from Azusa Pacific University in physical education/kinesiology.
Terry has also spent time as a middle school athletic director?teacher and a club volleyball coach. She served as athletic director at Cornerstone Christian Middle School in Camarillo, Cali., from 2007-09 and coached several girls and boys club teams in California.
Terry is a native of Ventura, Calif.
