Sherryl Klosterman enters her second season as an assistant coach with the Roadrunners in 2015-16.
In 2014-15, she helped the team to a 13-13 overall record, despite having three sophomores and one freshman in the starting lineup. Georgia Ohrdorf, the RMAC freshman of the year, was one of three all-conference players. The lone senior on the team Deni Jacobs was named Capital One Academic All-District and helped the team to a 3.36 GPA for the school year.
Prior to her time at MSU Denver, Klosterman spent the previous 29 years as a high school coach, including the last 25 as a head coach.
She has guided her high school teams to the state tournament Sweet 16 of further 11 times, including most recently taking Valor Christian High School to the state semifinals in 2014, including a 23-4 record. In addition to her five years at Valor Christian, Klosterman has coached at Eaglecrest, Littleton, Brighton and Denver Lutheran.
Klosterman earned her bachelor's degree in physical education with a minor in psychology from North Park University in Chicago, where she also played basketball. As a student-athlete, she was a team captain and all-conference performer.
A native of Littleton, Colo., she also served as a national-level AAU coach from 2002-13 and is a certified scuba diver. Klosterman enjoys cooking and playing golf in her spare time. She and her husband Craig have a son Strahan and daughter Britt.
