Dave Morgan enters his 13th season as a part of Metro State's staff in 2014. He has helped the Roadrunners to two national championships, eight Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference regular season championships, four RMAC tournament titles, and 12 NCAA tournament appearances in 12 years.

In addition to coaching the Roadrunners, he has been a coach with the Colorado Storm since 2006 after two years as director of coaching for Colorado Xtreme Soccer Club, where he worked his way up the coaching ranks beginning as an assistant club coach in 1999.  His current position with Colorado Storm is Director of Coaching U15-U18 Girls & Director of ECNL Program, Competitive Division. While with Colorado Xtreme, his teams won two State Cup Championships.

Morgan's coaching career started when he was the varsity girl's and boy’s coach for Wheat Ridge High School from 1987 through 1994. He has also worked with the Olympic Development program since 1999 as a head state coach and part of the Region IV coaching staff since 2001.

Morgan played varsity soccer for Northglenn High School, then four years at Metro State before playing semi-professionally with the SISL/USISL Colorado Comets Soccer Club.

He holds a NSCAA Premier Diploma, Advanced National Diploma, National Diploma and a USSF “C” license. He earned his bachelor’s degree in sports club administration from Metro State.
