Eliza Bennett-Hattan joined the MSU Denver coaching staff for the 2018 season.

Bennett-Hattan returned to a college coaching position for the first time since serving as goalkeeper coach at the College of Charleston in 2013. That followed two years as a graduate assistant coach at Marshall.
 
As a player, Bennett-Hattan was a four-year starter at Syracuse from 2006 through 2009, posting a school-record goals-against average of 0.94 as a freshman, which included an .862 save percentage that still ranks second in school history heading into 2018. She finished her career as Syracuse’s all-time leader in saves, single-season saves and shutouts. Entering the 2018 season, she was second on the Orange’s career list with 20 shutouts, second in saves (334), fourth in saves per game (4.8), fifth in wins (20) and sixth in GAA (1.34). She was named to the Academic Honor Roll from 2007 through 2010.

She also played from 2006 through 2012 with the Washington Freedom of the USL W-League.

Since 2013, Bennett-Hattan worked as a design examiner for the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She has also served as a goalkeeper trainer.
