Jen Thomas enters her second season as part of Metro State's coaching staff in 2013.
In 2012, she helped the Roadrunners go 15-6-2, including 9-3-2 in the RMAC. MSU Denver reached the NCAA tournament for the 11th year in a row, winning two road games to reach the regional championship game.
She spent the 2011 season as a volunteer assistant at the University of Denver. At DU, she assisted during games and practices, with on-campus recruiting visits, scouting opponents, and ran skill sessions for U12 and U14 Storm girls.
Thomas also has coached for U17 Olympico, ECNL and Regis Jesuit High School, along with running individual training sessions for girls ages 11 and 12.
Prior to starting her coaching career, Thomas played two seasons at Metro State, leading the Roadrunners to two NCAA tournament appearances in 2008 and 2009. She earned all-region honors both years and had 29 goals and 16 assists in those two years. Prior to her time at Metro, she played a year at the University of Kansas and a year at Texas Tech University.
Thomas earned her bachelor's degree in chemistry with a minor in biology from Metro State in 2010. She earned a NSCAA National Diploma and Advance National Diploma.
