A 2006 NSCAA/adidas All-America, former Roadrunner Kira Sharp begins her second season as a student assistant coach in 2008.

Sharp, a two-year letterwinner at Metro State, scored the game-winning goals in both the national semifinal and national championship victories to help lead the Roadrunners to the 2006 NCAA title. She was named the Most Valuable Offensive Player of the tournament, then was later recognized in Sports Illustrated's "Faces in the Crowd" for her efforts. She currently ranks fifth at Metro State in career assists (22) and seventh in career points (64).

A native of West Jordan, Utah, Sharp transferred to Metro State after playing two seasons at Cochise (Ariz.) College, where she was a 2003 all-American. She is currently finishing her degree in adult fitness and exercise science at Metro State.
