Megan Remec returned to the MSU Denver coaching staff in July, 2019, after three seasons away from the program.

In 2019, she helped MSU Denver finish 7-9-4 overall and 6-4-3 for a sixth-place tie in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. She has helped the Roadrunners continue to successfully recruit a steady stream of high-quality student-athlete recruits.

Remec was an assistant coach for Metropolitan State University of Denver from the 2013 through 2015 seasons before spending three years as the High School Director of Coaching for the Broomfield Soccer Club as well as serving in administration at the University of Colorado as the application review and selection coordinator.

While serving on the staff of Adrienne Pietz with MSU Denver, Remec helped the Roadrunners go 36-11-16 with two trips to the NCAA Division II tournament. Previously, she spent one season as an assistant coach at Elmhurst (Ill.), and thee seasons as a graduate assistant at Purdue, where she also played club soccer.
 
In her first year with the Roadrunners in 2013, MSU Denver was 14-4-4 overall, including a 10-3-1 mark for a second-place finish in the RMAC. MSU Denver earned a 2-1 win over Midwestern State (Texas) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament before upsetting second-ranked Colorado School of Mines 3-1 on its home field in the second round to reach the regional championship game.

In 2014, she helped the Roadrunners to their best season since 2009, posting a 14-2-5 record, including 10-0-4 in the RMAC. MSU Denver reached the conference championship game, falling on penalties after a scoreless tie following 110 minutes of play. Remec helped coach RMAC player of the year Karisa Price. In the classroom, the Roadrunners boasted a 3.30 team GPA during the school year and had seven Academic All-RMAC players.

MSU Denver was 8-5-7 overall and 4-2-5 in the RMAC during Remec's third season.

She brought four years of collegiate coaching experience to the Roadrunners in 2013.

Remec spent the 2012 season at Elmhurst (Ill.), helping the Bluejays to an 8-6-3 record, coaching the team's defenders and overseeing recruiting, scouting, film sessions, team transportation, and alumni relations. Prior to her time at Elmhurst, she served as a graduate assistant at Purdue. She spent three years with the Boilermakers under two-time Big Ten coach of the year Robert Klatte. Remec oversaw many different aspects of the program during her tenure.

She also has coached several club teams, including serving as an assistant coach with the Illinois Olympic Development Program. She also served as a coach with Westminster AFC as the college program director and coach.

Remec played club soccer at Purdue. She earned two bachelor's degrees from Purdue in 2007 in Spanish language and literature, and communications, and graduated with honors after being named to the honor roll during each semester. She completed her master's degree at Purdue in 2010 in athletic administration. Remec has her United States Soccer Federation "B" national license and her NSCAA Goalkeeping Level II diploma.
