MSU Denver Athletics

 Alexis Benda, the inspirational leader of the 2021 MSU Denver volleyball team that spent five weeks ranked No. 1 in Division II before finishing a program-best No. 3 in the final poll, returned to the Roadrunners as a volunteer assistant coach in July, 2022.
 
Benda, an All-RMAC first team selection in 2021, finished her career ranked 22nd in program history with 116 matches played, and 29th with 164 block assists. She put together a career season as a senior that was cut short after 23 matches and 83 sets. She was third on the team with 2.4 kills per set and fourth with 197 kills, and she ranked 13th in the RMAC with a .271 hitting percentage.
