Angelline Nageak enters her second year of coaching and her first season as an assistant coach with the MSU Denver women’s basketball program after spending the 2025-26 season as an assistant coach at Adams State University. In her first season on the sidelines, she helped the Grizzlies to a 22-11 record and an NCAA Division II Tournament appearance. 

Prior to beginning her coaching career, Nageak spent five years as a student-athlete at Adams State. During her time as a player, she earned multiple RMAC All-Conference honors, scored over 1000 points, and finished her career as the program’s 2nd all-time leader in steals with 340. She also held previous program records for steals in a season (95) and steals per game (3.2). 

Nageak was selected to participate in the WBCA “So You Want To Be A Coach” program in 2025, where she gained professional development and mentorship from coaches across women’s basketball. 

A native of Anchorage, Alaska, Nageak earned her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology with a minor in coaching from Adams State in December 2024 and her Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in leadership in May 2026.
