MSU Denver Athletics

Elaina Watson joins the MSU Denver women’s basketball staff after a six-year playing career at Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado. From Farmington, New Mexico;  

Watson was named Adams State Female Athlete of the Year and RMAC Defensive Player for the Year, while earning, multiple RMAC All-Conference honors.  

She was a multiple-time Honor Roll recipient and helped lead Adams State to the NCAA Division II National Tournament three consecutive years. Watson also holds the Adams State career record for steals.  

She is a graduate of the WBCA “So You Want To Be A Coach” program. Watson holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a Master’s degree in Coaching.  

Watson brings a passion for player development, defense, leadership, and building a championship culture to the Roadrunners program.
