Makayla Salter joined the Metropolitan State University of Denver Athletic Department in September 2025 as the Marketing and Social Services Coordinator. In this role, she assists in coordinating the marketing and promotions efforts for all of MSU Denver’s sports. Additionally, Salter manages the social media channels for MSU Denver Athletics and individual teams. Salter was apart of the 2025 National Championship Volleyball team's historic run during the 2025-26, gaining 4.5 million views on social media.
Prior to joining MSU Denver, Salter served as the Graduate Assistant for Marketing and Events at Regis University. During her undergraduate time, Salter worked as a Marketing and Fan Engagement Student Assistant at the University of Kansas. In this role, she assisted with gameday promotions, activations, and marketing; while also contributing to multiple national live productions including Big Noon Kickoff, Late Night in the Phog and College Gameday.
Salter graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, a Minor in Marketing, and a Certificate in Professional Selling. While at MSU Denver, she is currently pursuing her MBA.
A native of Colorado, Salter graduated from Holy Family High School, where she competed in basketball and soccer. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, skiing, playing sports, and traveling.
