Roadrunners Tie Regis

The No. 15 Metro State men's soccer (7-3-3, 4-1-2 RMAC) team battled cold and wet weather along with crosstown rival Regis to a 1-1 tie, Sunday afternoon in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) play at Auraria Field.

Joey Duran scored his second goal of the week off an assist from Kellen Johnson to give the 'Runners the lead in the 30th minute of the game. The score remained 1-0 until Regis' Nathan Kafer put in a penalty kick in the 66th minute to tie the score. The 'Runners had chances throughout the game with a 36-15 advantage in shots and a 14-9 lead in shots on goal.

Metro State returns to the field Friday when they host Colorado School of Mines at 3:30 p.m.
