The No. 15 Metro State men's soccer team (10-4-3, 7-2-3 RMAC) defeated UC-Colorado Springs, 4-1, Sunday afternoon in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) play at Auraria Field.

Ola Sandquist started the scoring for the 'Runners in the 26th minute of the game. Taking a pass from Kellen Johnson, Sandquist punched in a shot past the UCCS goalie for his 10th goal of the season. He followed with another goal on an assist from Tyler Hambrick to give the 'Runners a 2-0 lead. Johnson then scored his 14th goal of the season on an assist from Scott Grode. UCCS put a goal on the board to close the score to 3-1, but Steven Emory scored on a corner kick to give the 'Runners the 4-1 win.

Metro State will travel to Durango and Grand Junction this weekend for its final conference games of the season. The 'Runners will face No. 3 Fort Lewis at 3:30 p.m. on Friday and Mesa State at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
