BELLINGHAM, Wash. - Mike Martinez (Thornton, Colo./Horizon H.S.) scored from directly in front of the goal in the 92nd minute as No. 20 Metro State stunned Western Washington 2-1 in overtime on the road in Bellingham, Wash., on Thursday night. The win for Metro State improved the Roadrunners to 3-1-0 this season, while WWU dropped to 2-3-0.

Hambrick assisted on both of Metro State's goals, setting up
Ryan Brooks (Arvada, Colo./Arvada West H.S.) for the first goal of the game in the 12th minute as Brooks got a breakaway past the defense from the left side.
Vikings midfielder Kellan Brown evened the score in the 21st minute with his fourth goal of the season.
The second half went scoreless with each team recording two shots on goal. WWU made a late rally attempt in the 88th minute with two shot attempts, but both missed the goal.
Metro State will travel to Seattle Pacific University for a 3 p.m. (PDT) game on Saturday.
