The Roadrunners fell at Colorado Christian on Friday, marking the first time Metro State has lost consecutive games since 2007.  Also, with the women's team's 0-2 weekend, it was the first 0-4 weekend for the men's and women's basketball teams at Metro State since Nov. 23-24, 2001, in non-conference action. The last time the two teams went 0-4 in conference games was Jan. 26-27, 2001, at Nebraska-Kearney and Fort Hays State.

Metro State shot just 38.2 percent from the floor, the second consecutive night it shot under 40 percent.  The last time the Roadrunners shot under 40 percent in consecutive games as also the last time they lost consecutive games on Nov. 23 and 24, 2007, against Cal State Dominguez Hills and Cal State Los Angeles.

To compound the shooting struggles, Metro State's starters hit just 12-of-42 from the floor, 28.6 percent.

Reggie Evans (Aurora, Colo./Rangeview H.S.) scored 20 points off the bench to lead the Roadrunners, making 9-of-18 from the floor.  Brian Minor (Clovis, Calif./Clovis H.S.) led the starters with 13 points, but shot just 4-of-12.  He did, however, lead the team with five assists and six rebounds and make 5-of-6 at the line.  Donte Nicholas (Washington, D.C./Oakton H.S.) added 10 points on 3-of-11 shooting with five rebounds.  #A.J. Flournoy# scored eight points and had six rebounds and three assists.

Reserve Shakir Johnson (Los Angeles, Calif./Dorsey H.S.) was another bright spot off the bench, hitting 3-of-5 for six points with four blocked shots to tie a career high.

Metro State trailed 33-28 at the half, just the third time all season it has been behind at the break.

The Roadrunners opened the second half strong, tying the game at 35-35 on a 3-pointer by Josh Turner (Aurora, Colo./Eaglecrest H.S.).  They built their lead up to three at 40-37, but a 44-42 score with 13:53 left was the final lead of the game for Metro State.  A 3-pointer by Drew Hoffman for CSM after three offensive rebounds by the Orediggers put them ahead for good.  The Roadrunners were able to tie the game twice, the last time with just under eight minutes left at 55-55.  But CSM scored the next nine points to build a 64-55 lead with 5:34 to play.

Metro State turned the ball over a season-low six times and forced 18 turnovers on the Orediggers.  But Metro State was whistled for 24 fouls and CSM hit 35-of-41 at the line.  The Orediggers also dominated the glass, outrebounding the Roadrunners 48-32, just the fifth time this season Metro State has been outrebounded.

Hoffman and Grant Agee led Colorado Mines with 18 points each.  Agee made 10-of-12 at the line, while Hoffman shot 6-of-12 from the floor and pulled down 10 rebounds.
