BISMARCK, N.D. – Metro State cruised to a 2-0 victory over Upper Iowa on Sunday in Bismarck, N.D., in a non-conference game. The Roadrunners improved to 2-0 this season.

Metro State dominated the game, holding a 24-4 shot advantage.

Dele Johnson (Arvada, Colo./Pomona H.S.) put the Roadrunners on the board just four seconds before halftime, scoring on a header on a cross from a free kick by Jack Belanger (Ankeny, Iowa/Ankeny H.S.).

Marc Herschberger (Westminster, Colo./Northglenn H.S.) found the net with under eight minutes left in the game to add an insurance goal, scoring off Tyler Wilson (Aurora, Colo./Smoky Hill H.S.)'s free kick from the top of the box.

Dominique Griffith (Aurora, Colo./Smoky Hill H.S.) earned the shutout win in goal, making one save.
