GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Marc Herschberger (Westminster, Colo./Northglenn H.S.) scored at 70:24 for the game's only goal as Metro State won 1-0 on Sunday at Colorado Mesa in Grand Junction, Colo.  The Roadrunners improved to 3-2-1 overall and 1-1-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while CMU fell to 0-5-1 and 0-1-1.

Herschberger connected on a header from Andrew Mejia (Littleton, Colo./Mullen H.S.), who took a pass from Scott Grode (Gilbert, Ariz./Basha H.S.) as both earned assists on the play.  Herschberger had Metro State's only two shots on goal in the game.

The Mavericks also had two shots on goal and both were stopped by Issa Bissau (Denver, Colo./Chatfield H.S.).

Metro State will play at Regis University on Wednesday.
