Box Score ALAMOSA, Colo. - Metro State used goals from four different players as the visiting Roadrunners won 4-0 at Adams State in Alamosa, Colo., on Sunday. MSU improved to 9-6-1 overall and 6-5-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while ASU fell to 1-14-0 overall and 1-10-0 in the RMAC.
Kevin Pocalyko (Longmont, Colo./Longmont H.S.) gave the Roadrunners the early lead at 29:33, rolling a shot into the net through traffic as
Jeremy Brooks (Phoenix/Horizon H.S.) assisted on the goal.
The score remained 1-0 until midway through the second half when Metro broke through for three goals in less than nine minutes.
Carlos Mendez (Denver, Colo./Broomfield H.S.) scored at 71:32 with
Pierce Galan (Phoenix/Seton Catholic H.S.) assisting on the score.
Dustin Berg (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County H.S.) finished a corner kick just two minutes later for his first career goal, scoring after a one-touch pass by
Andy Lopez (Phoenix/La Joya H.S.) off the kick from Mendez.
Marc Herschberger (Westminster, Colo./Northglenn H.S.) wrapped up the scoring at 79:23 with
Jake Beerman (Colorado Springs/Pine Creek H.S.) earning his first career assist.
MSU outshot ASU 22-7 in the game.
Issa Bissau (Denver, Colo./Chatfield H.S.) recorded his second straight solo shutout with one save. He has not allowed a goal in three starts this season.
The two teams will meet again on Tuesday, this time at Auraria Field in Denver at 1 p.m.
