Alysa Heath (Littleton, Colo./Chatfield H.S.) is leading the Roadrunners in every front-row category with 3.70 kills, 0.57 blocks and a .314 hitting percentage through eight matches.
•   Heath was named to the Colorado Premier Challenge all-tournament team after averaging 3.57 kills and hitting .270 in four matches.
•   Metro State has been strong defensively, led by
Alex Green (Peoria, Ariz./Cactus H.S.)'s 4.03 digs per set.
•   Metro State's two weak spots so far have been serving and blocking, as MSU has committed 15 more service errors than its opponents and is being outblocked 1.77 to 0.97 per set.
•   For the first time in school history, Metro State went to five sets in its first two matches to open the season.
•   It was the first time Metro State has won back-to-back five-set matches since 2011 (Oct. 21 & Oct. 22).
•   It was the first time Metro State has played in two five-set matches in the same day since Oct. 22, 1988.

•   Metro State was picked second in the RMAC preseason coaches poll behind Regis.

Lauren Quijano (Wildomar, Calif./Elsinore H.S.) was chosen preseason all-RMAC.

Brandi Torr (Albuquerque, N.M./La Cueva H.S.) is the first freshman setter to play in a season-opening match for MSU Denver since 2008 (Darcy Schwartzman) and the first to start since 2006 (Stephanie Levi).
