ALAMOSA, Colo. - Danny Arrubla (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton H.S.) scored just over five minutes into overtime as No. 19 Metropolitan State University of Denver won 2-1 at Adams State on Sunday. The Roadrunners improved to 9-2-0 overall and 6-2-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference with their second straight overtime win, while ASU dropped to 1-10-0 and 0-8-0 in the RMAC.
Matt Anderson put the Grizzlies ahead at 25:49.
Josh Belfrage (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Mountain Vista H.S.) evened the score at 60:49 and
Nolan Barth (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton H.S.) earned an assist on the play.
Belfrage then assisted on Arrubla's winner at 95:36.
James Tanner (Lake Stevens, Wash./Lake Stevens H.S.) stopped seven shots for the Roadrunners.
MSU Denver will host University of Colorado Colorado Springs at 7 p.m. on Friday.
