LAS VEGAS, N.M. - Karisa Price (Gilbert, Ariz./Highland H.S.) scored less than eight minutes into the second half to tie the game as No. 8 Metropolitan State University of Denver tied New Mexico Highlands 1-1 in Las Vegas, N.M. The Roadrunners dropped to 12-1-3 overall and 9-0-3 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while NMHU is now 9-3-4 and 6-2-4.
The tie snapped an eight-game winning streak, but extended the team's unbeaten streak to 13 games.
Hannah Dahlquist scored for the Cowgirls just 27 seconds before halftime.
Coming out of the break, Price scored in the 53rd minute for her 10th goal of the season to tie the game.
Breanna Flores (Gilbert, Ariz./Gilbert H.S.) finished with seven saves for the Roadrunners.
Abby Rolph (Golden, Colo./Golden H.S.) was stopped on a penalty kick in the 22nd minute, one of seven shots on goal from the Roadrunners.
