GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Kevin Escobar scored twice for Colorado Mesa as the Mavericks upset No. 12 Metropolitan State University of Denver 2-1 in Grand Junction, Colo., on Friday night. The Roadrunners dropped to 6-2-0 overall and 3-2-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference with their second straight loss, while CMU improved to 6-2-1 and 4-1-0.
Escobar twice finished crosses in the box, scoring at 36:18 and 54:31.
