FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Metropolitan State University of Denver's women's basketball team fell 90-62 in exhibition play on Thursday evening in exhibition play. It was the fourth time in the past five years the Roadrunners have faced a Division I team in an exhibition.

The freshmen led MSU Denver as they combined to score 44 points, led by
Emily Hartegan (Frisco, Texas/Wylie East H.S.), who had 18 points and nine rebounds, shooting 7-of-14 from the floor.
Georgia Ohrdorf (Wollongong, Australia/St. Mary Star of the Sea College) added 12 points.
Hannah Stipanovich (St. Louis, Mo./Clayton H.S.) scored eight points,
Jenae Paine (Oregon City, Ore./Oregon City H.S.) had seven and
Erin McClarie (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Rock Canyon H.S.) and
Brittany Curl (Absarokee, Mont./Absarokee H.S.) each had six. Paine, a sophomore, was the highest-scoring non-freshman. McClarie had a game-high six assists.

MSU Denver shot 38.1 percent in the game, while holding the Rams to 42.1 percent.

The Roadrunners hung around with a strong first half, shooting 45.2 percent from the floor. They were led by Ohrdorf's 10 first-half points and Hartegan had eight points and six rebounds at halftime. CSU led 47-36 at the break.

CSU pulled away early in the second half, opening the half on a 26-9 run.

The Roadrunners open the regular season at home on Friday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. vs. Baker University.
