DENVER - Tess Hagenlock (Bozeman, Mont./Bozeman H.S.) scored 7:29 into the first overtime period to give No. 8 Metropolitan State University of Denver a 2-1 victory over Western State on Friday afternoon at The Regency Athletic Complex at MSU Denver. The Roadrunners improved to 13-1-4 overall and 10-0-4 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while WSCU fell to 6-6-5 and 3-6-4. MSU Denver can win the RMAC regular season title with a loss or tie by No. 15 Colorado School of Mines against Fort Lewis on Sunday, otherwise the Roadrunners will finish second.
Abby Rolph (Golden, Colo./Golden H.S.) dribbled to the baseline just left of the goal before centering the ball in front of the net. Hagenlock scored on a one-touch shot from six yards out.
MSU Denver trailed early, giving up a goal in the 10th minute after a failed clearance by the defense gave Sadie Stark an open shot from the center of the box after a centering pass from Elyza Montano.
Noemy Polanco (Long Beach, Calif./Lakewood H.S.) evened the score in the 31st minute, heading in Rolph's corner kick. It was the fourth multi-assist game of Rolph's career.

MSU Denver will play in the semifinals of the RMAC tournament next Friday. The site will be at the No. 1 seed, determined on Sunday.
