GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Metropolitan State University of Denver's men's and women's tennis teams wrapped up the fall season on Friday and Saturday at the Colorado Mesa Duals in Grand Junction, Colo. The men's team went 2-1 and the women went 1-2 on the weekend.
The men's team defeated Montana State-Bililngs 8-1 before falling 6-3 to Colorado Mesa. The Roadrunners rebounded with an 8-1 win over Colorado State-Pueblo on Saturday. No. 1 singles player
Josh Graetz (Albury, Australia/The Scots School) went 3-0, as did
Trevor Jones (Vancouver, Wash./Mountain View H.S.) at No. 5 and No. 6.
The women won 6-3 over Montana State-Billings, then fell 5-4 to Dixie State (Utah) and 5-4 to CSU-Pueblo. No. 5 singles player
Haleigh Chobanian (St. Louis, Mo./Lafayette H.S.) went 3-0.
Courtney Wright (Houston, Texas/Memorial H.S.),
Kasey Love (Daytona Beach, Fla./Spruce Creek H.S.) and
Ana-Jelena Vujosevic (Milano, Italy/Skednja Ekonomska Skola) also earned two wins each.
