DENVER - No. 19 Metropolitan State University of Denver scored two goals in the final 10 minutes to edge Colorado Christian 2-0 at The Regency Athletic Complex at MSU Denver on Sunday. The Roadrunners improved to 7-1-2 overall and 4-0-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while CCU fell to 3-5-2 and 0-5-1.

After an even first half of play, the Roadrunners dominated the second half. They hit the goal frame with three shots before finally putting one in the net at 80:03 when a corner kick by
Abby Rolph (Golden, Colo./Golden H.S.) found the head of
Karisa Price (Gilbert, Ariz./Highland H.S.) at the far post.

The lead stretched to 2-0 six minutes later when
Carly Nelson (Wheat Ridge, Colo./Wheat Ridge H.S.) scored her first goal of the season.
Tess Hagenlock (Bozeman, Mont./Bozeman H.S.) crossed the ball to the top of the box and Nelson dribbled just inside the 18-yard line for an open shot that she scored to the bottom-left corner of the net.

Breanna Flores (Gilbert, Ariz./Gilbert H.S.) made three saves in goal with her third straight shutout.
