DENVER - Metro State's men's tennis team fell 8-1 to Bethany (Kan.) on Thursday at The Regency Athletic Complex at MSU Denver. The Swedes are ranked No. 15 in NAIA and improved to 6-0 with the win, while the Roadrunners dropped to 3-6.
Josh Graetz (Albury, Australia/The Scots School) earned a big win at No. 1 singles, winning 6-4, 6-0 over Laurentsi Arakhamiya, who is ranked No. 27 in NAIA. 
Nick Baker (Lee's Summit, Mo./Lee's Summit West H.S.) came up two points short of a win at No. 2 singles, falling 7-5, 4-6, 10-8. 
Chris Anderson (El Paso, Texas/Americas H.S.), making is college debut at No. 6 singles, also fell in three sets and lost 4-6, 7-5, 11-9.
The Roadrunners will take on Wartburg (Iowa) at noon Friday at home.
