PUEBLO, Colo. - No. 8 Metropolitan State University of Denver suffered its first loss of the season on Sunday, falling 1-0 at Colorado State-Pueblo. The Roadrunners dropped to 6-1-0 overall and 3-1-0 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while CSUP improved to 2-6-0 and 1-3-0.
Matt Marchena scored the game's only goal at 35:12 for the ThunderWolves.
MSU Denver was playing with its backup goalkeeper due to an injury, but
Charlie D'Adamio (Denver, Colo./Dakota Ridge H.S.) filled in nicely with three saves. The Roadrunners outshot CSU-Pueblo 15-to-13.
They will play at Colorado Mesa on Friday.
