DENVER - Metro State University Roadrunners won against the South Dakota School of Mines Hardrockers 3-1. The Roadrunners are now at 8-3-1, 6-2-0 RMAC while the Hardrockers are at 1-10-1, 1-7-1 RMAC.

The Roadrunners scored within the first six minutes. Junior
Brock Labertew (Scottsdale, Ariz./Horizon H.S.) received a pass from
Jeff Gillis (Aurora, Colo./Smoky Hill H.S.) and scored straight in the back of the net. The Roadrunners second goal was scored by junior
Arturo Vega (Tucson, Ariz./Salpointe Catholic H.S.). Vega shot the goal from the top of the box after a pass from
Josh Belfrage (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Mountain Vista H.S.). The Roadrunners final goal was scored by freshman
Jaydon Moreschini (Pueblo West, Colo./Pueblo West H.S.) after a touch pass from
Danny Arrubla (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton H.S.). All three of the Roadrunners goals were scored in the first half.

The Hardrockers scored two goals in the second half. The first goal was scored by senior Sam Letempt as he flicked the ball over the goal keeper in the 73rd minute. The Hardrockers second goal was scored by junior Erik Fensake  as he headed the ball off the corner kick in the 85
th minute.

Hayden Rus (Gilbert, Ariz./Gilbert H.S.) and
Jorge Vega (Denver, Colo./North H.S.) combined to make twos saves.
