DENVER - MSU Denver women's soccer team suffered a tough 2-0 loss to the Westminster College (Utah) Griffins on Friday night. Both of WC's goals came late in the second half of Friday's match.

The game remained fairly even throughout the first half, with MSU Denver managing three shots and WC managing six. WC came out of the locker room in the second half firing, as it managed another six shots. The Roadrunners struggled to get much offense going, as the Griffins kept the ball in MSUD territory for the majority of the second half.

Westminster's first goal came late in the game in the 75th minute off the foot of defender Maddie Klein. The goal was a result of a free kick from Korral Koehler that pinballed around from Heidi Lorschider to Klein, and off of the right post into the net.

The Griffin's second goal came minutes later in the 79th minute off a corner kick from Koehler to Megan Molumby who had a one-touch score from the center of the box.

Metro State's next game will be at noon on Sunday against Colorado Mesa.
