DENVER - Metropolitan State University of Denver earned a 25-17, 25-21, 25-13 sweep over South Dakota Mines on Friday night at the Auraria Event Center. The Roadrunners improved to 7-8 overall and 4-2 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while SDSMT fell to 5-10 and 1-4. The win was the fourth in a row for the Roadrunners.

MSU Denver hit a season-high .391 with five players who hit .300 or better in the match, led by setter
Brandi Torr (Albuquerque, N.M./La Cueva H.S.) with 42 assists and three kills.

Ryan Hoerdemann (Littleton, Colo./Arapahoe H.S.) hit .500 with 12 kills and added a pair of blocks.

Santaisha Sturges (Parker, Colo./Regis Jesuit H.S.) put down seven, while hitting .545. She played only in the third set.
