GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Metropolitan State University of Denver's men's and women's tennis teams wrapped up the 2015 fall season with winning weekends at the Colorado Mesa Duals. The men's team went 2-0 with a 7-2 win over CSU-Pueblo and a 5-4 victory against CMU. The women's team defeated CSU-Pueblo and Dixie State, with a 6-3 loss to CMU. The men's team will enter the spring season with a 3-1 record and the women are 4-3.
Emily Kerr (Winchester, England/Peter Symonds College) enjoyed a perfect 3-0 weekend at the No. 2 singles position, while
Courtney Wright (Houston, Texas/Memorial H.S.) and
Linying Xiao (Guilin, China/St. Mary's Academy (Colo.)) each went 2-1. Kerr paired with
Kasey Love (Daytona Beach, Fla./Spruce Creek H.S.) for a 3-0 weekend at No. 1 doubles as well.
Josh Graetz (Albury, Australia/The Scots School) and
Calum Hayes (Leeds, England/Guiseley H.S.) both went 2-0 in singles competition for the men's team. Graetz and
Joey Tscherne (Sylmar, Calif./John F. Kennedy H.S.) were 2-0 at No. 1 doubles and
Keenan Kaltenbacher (Colorado Springs, Colo./The Classical Academy) and
Porter Emery (Casper, Wyo./San Joaquin H.S. (Calif.)) went 2-0 at No. 3.
