DENVER - Metropolitan State University of Denver suffered a 69-59 loss to Colorado State-Pueblo on Friday evening. The Roadrunners fell to 13-12 overall and 10-11 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. CSUP improved to 16-9 and 14-7. MSU Denver will need to beat University of Colorado Colorado Springs and will need a loss from Western New Mexico on Saturday to make the conference tournament.

Deni Jacobs (Plains, Kan./Southwestern Heights H.S.) scored a team-high 13 points and
Brittany Curl (Absarokee, Mont./Absarokee H.S.) had 12 points, nine rebounds, three blocked shots and two steals.
Hannah Stipanovich (St. Louis, Mo./Clayton H.S.) scored 10 off the bench.
Kaysha Fox (Tacoma, Wash./Woodrow Wilson H.S.) had six assists to go with six points.

The Roadrunners shot 46.7 percent in the first half and buried four 3-pointers to enter halftime tied 34-34 with CSU-Pueblo behind 10 points from Curl.

The offense cooled in the second half as MSU Denver shot just 23.5 percent.

Katie Nehf scored 19 points and Ashley Piper had 18 to lead the ThunderWolves.

MSU Denver will host UCCS at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday to wrap up the regular season.
