DENVER - Freshman
Hannah Stipanovich (St. Louis, Mo./Clayton H.S.) recorded her first career double-double to give Metropolitan State University of Denver a 69-56 win over Colorado Christian on Saturday night. The win improved the Roadrunners to 12-9 overall and 9-8 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, snapping a three-game losing streak. CCU dropped to 10-13 overall and 10-7 in the RMAC.

Stipanovich finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds, shooting 8-of-11 from the floor.
Brittany Curl (Absarokee, Mont./Absarokee H.S.) buried a career-high four 3-pointers and scored 14 points to go with seven rebounds and three assists.
Emily Hartegan (Frisco, Texas/Wylie East H.S.) scored 11 points and had six rebounds.
Erin McClarie (Highlands Ranch, Colo./Rock Canyon H.S.) dished out seven assists.

MSU Denver held the Cougars to just 21.1 percent shooting, the fifth-lowest shooting percentage for a Roadrunners opponent in school history and lowest since 2010. MSU Denver also outrebounded CCU 51-to-38.

The Roadrunners held CCU without a field goal until 6:53 was left in the first half. The Cougars missed their first 17 shots as the Roadrunners played tight defense and led 29-21 at halftime. Hartegan had 11 points and six rebounds in the first half.

MSU Denver stretched its lead to 16 points with 8:25 left, but an 8-0 CCU run cut that lead in half to 49-41 with 6:45 remaining. After the Cougars got within seven points, Curl buried a 3-pointer with just over three minutes to go, essentially ending the game.

Claire Paxton led the Cougars with 13 points and had seven rebounds.
