DENVER - Metropolitan State University of Denver edged Emporia State 5-4 on Wednesday at The Regency Athletic Complex at MSU Denver. The Roadrunners improved to 5-5 on the season, while ESU fell to 8-5.
Josh Graetz (Albury, Australia/The Scots School) and
Nick Baker (Lee's Summit, Mo./Lee's Summit West H.S.) carried the load at the top of the lineup as the pair won their No. 1 doubles match 9-8 (13-11) and also won their No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches.
John Qualls (Henderson, Nev./Foothill H.S.) also earned a singles win at No. 4 and paired with
Calum Hayes (Leeds, England/Guiseley H.S.) for an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles.
The Roadrunners will face Sonoma State on Sunday.
