GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Metropolitan State University of Denver fell 9-3 at No. 3/2 Colorado Mesa on Saturday in Grand Junction, Colorado. The Roadrunners dropped to 5-5 overall and 0-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while CMU improved to 13-2 and 5-0.

The Roadrunners rallied from a 3-1 deficit to score twice and tie the game in the top of the fourth on a single by Jeff Levett (Parker, Colo./Chaparral H.S.) that scored Nick Comito (Lakewood, Colo./Mullen H.S.). That was it for MSU Denver as two Mavericks relievers combined for 5 2/3 no-hit innings.

Jake Thurston (Centennial, Colo./Grandview H.S.) finished 2-for-3 with a double, a run and a walk. Levett and Comito were each 2-for-5.

The two teams meet for a doubleheader on Sunday.
