DENVER - Metropolitan State University of Denver's men's and women's tennis teams both defeated Colorado College on Sunday at The Regency Athletic Complex at MSU Denver. The men's team won 9-0 to improve to 12-9 on the season, while the women won 7-2 to improve to 4-15.
Courtney Wright (Houston, Texas/Memorial H.S.),
Kasey Love (Daytona Beach, Fla./Spruce Creek H.S.) and
Haleigh Chobanian (St. Louis, Mo./Lafayette H.S.) all won in straight sets in their singles matches for the women. Wright and
Ana-Jelena Vujosevic (Milano, Italy/Skednja Ekonomska Skola) won 8-2 at No. 2 doubles and
Kaitlyn Miller (Castle Rock, Colo./Rock Canyon H.S.) and
Megan Bell (Holladay, Utah/Olympus H.S.) won 8-5 at No. 3.
The men's team breezed to victory, winning in straight sets in five of the six singles matches and not allowing CC to win more than four games in any of the doubles matches.
MSU Denver will host Colorado Christian on Thursday at 3 p.m.
